Micrometer Glass Slide for Microscope Calibration. A top quality, robust, anodised black metal 'stage graticule' microscope slide with a circular glass window containing a silvered 10mm horizontal scale marked into 100um divisions.

Also known as a Stage Graticule Slide. Suitable for use with both transmitted and reflected light microscopes (and macro systems).  The scale is a silvered material that can be viewed as a silhouette with transmitted light or as a reflective white scale under reflected/incident light.

Micrometer Slides also known as Stage Graticules and Calibration Slides are slides with scales etched or printed on them.  The scales come in a huge variety of sizes, subdivision accuracies and patterns.  These slides are used to calibrate microscopes so measurements can be made.  Reticules are similar scales placed in eyepieces.  Both are used for measurement and counting.

Please note that NPL and UKAS certificated models are calibrated in batches by third party laboratories and have to take their turn in the queue, on occasions this can delay delivery by months.  Demand for certificated microscope calibration scales is extremely small so we have to accumulate sufficient orders and restocking quantities before requesting a batch to be calibrated.  It is an extremely expensive and slow process because the calibrating system has to be re-assembled and itself calibrated before it can be used.  The calibrating laboratories will also wait to accumulate orders from various sources before embarking on the calibration process. Because of the high price and low demand our stocks are necessarily kept to a minimum.
